Duties

Join our team as a Passport and Citizenship Assistant! In this role, you'll be a key member of the passport and citizenship unit, delivering essential services to the public. Your responsibilities will include processing and preparing U.S. passports and accurately entering data into our computer systems. You'll also review and analyze submitted documentation, interview applicants, and guide them through the required forms.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:


A minimum of two years of progressively responsible office experience is essential, with a focus on applying regulatory material and engaging with the public.


Education Requirements:

Successful completion of Secondary School is required.


Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:


Fluency in both German and English (speaking/reading) is a must.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulations accurately.

  • Excellent drafting skills in both English and German (may be tested).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (may be tested).

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Germany may receive a comprehensive compensation package including health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
