We are looking for a dedicated Sourcing Manager Europe (m|w|d) based in Germany, the Netherlands as soon as possible.
The Recycled Paper Cluster of Smurfit Kappa comprises 15 recycled paper mills across eight countries.
We're seeking a talented Sourcing Manager to join our RPC cluster team. As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in planning and managing our overall sourcing strategy to ensure our Cluster needs are met. You'll build strong relationships with our vendors and key suppliers to negotiate pricing and control costs. You'll execute analyses, make suggestions for improvement, and ensure that we're always up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Your Tasks:
Plan and manage the overall sourcing strategy for RPC cluster
Research cluster operations needs and requirements to understand what our suppliers need to deliver
Build strong relationships with vendors and key suppliers to ensure our Cluster needs are met.
Negotiate pricing and control costs/potential deviations
Negotiate contract modifications, follow-up quotations, revisions, terms, and conditions with vendors/suppliers
Develop a yearly budget depending on Cluster sourcing needs
Execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall sourcing strategy
Write sourcing documentation and statements
Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices.
Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations
Partner and coordinate with Group Global Sourcing and procurement teams
Provide regular project status information to team members, including attending required meetings and follow-up on action items
Establish rules and methods to assess existing supplier performance and the selection methods/criteria for new partners
Focus on Sourcing Cost Take Out
Your profile:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Engineering, or a similar field.
At least 5 years of experience as a Sourcing Manager in a large and multicultural company.
Hands-on experience with sourcing software.
Outstanding negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively address challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Good time management skills to complete projects on schedule.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
Additional training or certifications will be considered an advantage.
