YOUR MISSIONS
You spend most of your time with the retail teams on the floor and in the store with a stimulating and supportive leadership while maintaining and increasing standards of the performance, operations, customer experience across the stores in your scope through effective training and operations.
In this role, you will act as a proactive force, working closely with the Sales Director North Europe.
Commercial responsibilities
- Providing leadership and support to Store Managers and teams in the region to maximize sales performance and growth in each location
- Manage & monitor retail sales weekly and drive action plans if needed.
- Responsible for setting, measuring and helping teams to achieve sales and KPI targets within the country in line with the company goals.
- Ensure that all CRM strategies and on-going programs including client acquisitions, client retention and Customer database management are effectively carried out and maintained across the region
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer base in the region, know the key clients, understand customer trends and the specific needs of the market
People responsibilities
- Manage, coach, supervise & motivate the field team, support store teams on the floor whenever needed
- Recruit, train and develop strong store management teams ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with experiencedretail talents and driving a culture of excellence across all retail activities
- In partnership with the Regional HR Business Partner, support Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers with capability and performance issues, raising line managers competence in dealing with employee relations issues and performance and ensuring that the Retail team are able to recruit a best-in-class team of Client Advisors
- Provide detailed feedback to direct reports on performance and development areas
Operations responsibilities
- Ensure that all retail stores in the region are fully compliant with financial, HR, legal and retail operation rules and procedures with a view to ensuring operational excellence and best-in class execution
- Ensure that all retail operations in the area are trained in stock control procedures and the adhere to them to prevent any inventory slippage and ensure accurate inventory stock holdings
- Work with the Store Managers to manage maintenance issues within the retail stores and ensure they are resolved swiftly and in line with the budget
- Identify and help resolve any Health & Safety and legal issues that might arise
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree qualified with 7+ years working experience in retail
- Significant previous experience working in German market within a luxury fashion company, managing multiple store locations within the country
- Flexible to work and willing to travel 80% of the time across Germany
- Deep understanding and awareness of luxury retail, fashion, customer demand and competitor activity within the zone, knowledge of Retail and Luxury best practices
- Sharp business acumen in making business decisions with strategic thinking with a global business review.
- Sound people management and negotiation skills
- Solid analytical sales & meticulous with numbers, sales driven and results oriented.
- Proficient in German and English.
