We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Editorial Assistant to support our editorial team in the creation and production of print and digital content. As an editorial assistant, you will provide administrative support and assist with various tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of content.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the editorial team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing files.
Read and evaluate submissions, including manuscripts and proposals, and provide feedback to the editorial team.
Copyedit and proofread articles, reviews, and other content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Assist with the preparation of manuscripts for publication, including formatting, fact-checking, and preparing author bios.
Collaborate with writers, authors, and editors to ensure deadlines are met and content is delivered on time.
Assist with the development of marketing and promotional materials, including press releases and social media content.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and new publishing technologies to stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
Maintain databases and spreadsheets related to submissions and contracts.
Assist with editorial projects, including book launches, author events, and other related activities.

Requirements and skills

Bachelor's degree in related field
Work Experience minimum of 2 years
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Passion for reading, writing, and storytelling.
