The Digital Education Group (DEG) is the market leader in Germany for training and re-skilling the workforce in the rapidly growing field of digitization. In the past years, we have created seven dedicated training institutes that help people how to start a new career in the tech industry, ranging from mobile app development, data science and cybersecurity to online marketing, sales and tech HR. In 2023, we will expand our proven German model to the French market.

We have already undergone an extensive research phase to validate our thesis in 2022 and are now looking for an entrepreneur-in-residence intern that helps us further understand the French market for public-sector financed training and prepare our market entry in France from a recruiting, business development as well as regulatory perspective.

You will be working directly with the DEG founders and have a shot at becoming the founder or at the very least an early employee of our new French venture.

Tasks

• Prepare the creation of a new legal entity in France
• Fully understand and secure all regulatory requirements in terms of Qualiopi certification as well RNCP and/or RS certification
• Define and create product offering (e.g. course in software development) as well as secure pricing for our initial launch phase
• Secure public funding for launch offering and localize marketing and sales approach to the requirements of the French market
• Recruitment of the first staff (e.g. trainers)
• Stay committed to our cash-flow philosophy and build a customer-funded business to remain free from the external pressures of fundraising

Requirements

• Completed bachelor studies at a stellar business school or another rigorous academic program with excellent performances
• Initial work experience in a high-performance field such as growth startups and/or scaleups, management consulting or similar
• Outstanding sales skills and tenacity are key, in particular at the beginning
• Mega hands-on approach: you can build things and deliver results fast
• You are highly self-motivated, work independently, and have a razor-sharp focus. At the same time, you are coachable and willing to learn.
• You are a lifelong learning enthusiast and believe that people deserve a second chance in life
• Outstanding analytical, verbal and writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with others across the organization and industry
• Fluency in French and English is a must
