We are looking for a highly experienced Head of R&D (f/m/d) to lead our efforts in the development of cutting-edge Carbon Capture and CO2 Utilization technologies. As the ideal candidate, you will bring a wealth of knowledge to our organization, utilizing your extensive experience in R&D to lead our team of passionate engineers and lab staff. Specifically, you' will take the lead on new developments, ensure that research efforts are standardized, and stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements. As the main contact between R&D and commercial teams, you'll provide expert counsel on technical concerns. Your responsibilities

Bring in your extraordinary technical skills, your creative and collaborative mindset, your leadership skills and join a passionate team with a hands-on mentality in an established company. You will heavily contribute to the design of groundbreaking technologies in a sector that is projected to grow for several decades. Your contribution will have a direct and positive impact on future generations:

• Be responsible for leading the R&D and standardization team of two legal entities.

• Coordinate technological improvements and transfer them in commercial projects.

• Integrate new developments into in-house standards.

• Coordinate development of in-house design tools.

• Be the focal point for R&D and standardization topics within the Carbon Capture Initiative.

Your qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering or similar. PhD welcome.

• Proven track record of leading and developing successful teams towards achieving organizational goals.

• You are an experienced project engineer in the field of thermal separation technology with extensive years of professional experience.

• You have experience in the field of chemical plant design.

• Demonstrate analytical thinking, strong communication and teamwork skills with both internal and external partners along with an aptitude for organization and entrepreneurial thinking, leveraging your experience in leadership to lead with confidence and assertiveness.

• You are able to work under pressure, you are flexible and willing to travel (approx. 20 %)

• Fluent German and English, other languages are a strong advantage.
