Your Mission
As an Android Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our core product's mobile application. In close collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, you will ensure a seamless user experience while driving technical excellence across the entire application lifecycle. This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Innovate and Shape: Drive our Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) strategy and influence the future of our mobile architecture by identifying shared logic opportunities.
- End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the Android lifecycle, including architecture, feature delivery, deployment, and continuous maintenance.
- Quality and Trust: Ensure high stability through automated testing, rigorous code reviews, and modern CI/CD practices while monitoring app performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work as a core member of an integrated team during scoping, planning, and implementation phases.
- Impact-Driven Development: Create high-quality user interfaces and optimize performance based on data-driven insights and direct user feedback.
What You Bring
- Over 5 years of professional experience in Android software development with deep knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
- Hands-on expertise with modern tools such as Dagger, Koin, Coroutines, Flow, and MVVM.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, REST APIs, and database solutions like Room or SQLDelight.
- Strong background in testing frameworks (JUnit, MockK, Espresso) and quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of scalable software architecture and code optimization.
- Proficiency with Gradle, Kotlin DSL, and CI/CD workflows via GitLab or Fastlane.
- An ownership mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver results.
- Fluent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
