The Politics, Regulation & Standardization department (GQ-S) is responsible for the corporate strategy for regulation, standardization, lobbying and memberships in external organizations. This includes the overview and control of the totality of activities in external organizations as well as the information and communication from these activities into the CARIAD organization.
We are expanding our team of Public Affairs Strategists with an expert for the technical field "Vehicle Electrics / Electronics and Controls". This technical field is also a regulation cluster of the Volkswagen Group companies. It includes all aspects of the vehicle's human machine interface(s) and operating elements, vehicle's tracking and monitoring systems as well as emergency calling, theft protection, and electromagnetic compatibility which are relevant for vehicle homologation.
- Among a team of Public Affairs Strategists and Regulation Coordinators you will oversee all external committee activities in your technical field
- Interface between the stakeholders of the group and subsidiary companies and central point of contact for all global regulatory, standardization and lobbying activities in your field for the whole of CARIAD
- Whithin the Volkswagen Group regulation cluster activities you will be responsible for the communication of new or changed regulations to CARIAD's developement teams
- Consolidate a CARIAD and Volkswagen group wide strategy and coordinate external activities in your technical field
- Know and monitor globally the relevant regulatory and standard documents in your technical field, identify needs and drive initiatives in external organizations to influence standards and regulatory documents
- Manage cooperative and solution-oriented communication between all stakeholders
- Completed studies in a relevant technical field or comparable qualification that enables you with a good understanding of your technical field
- Experience in the field of standardization or regulatory affairs within the automotive industry, software technology or comparable is welcome
- Ideally worked in projects using JIRA/Confluence software applications before
- An analytical, systematic and goal-oriented way of working as well as an interdisciplinary way of thinking
- Outgoing personality, confident and efficient in discussions as well as presentations. Acts confidently and independently in internal, external and international meetings and committees, knows the necessary methods and uses them strategically to pursue own goals
- Ideally, hands-on experience in project management and an agile way of working
- Business fluent in English and German
