The EpiCrossBorders Research School Program is an international and interdisciplinary PhD program. It is a joint initiative of Helmholtz Munich in Munich, Germany and the Edinburgh University in Edinburgh, UK centered on epigenetics research This PhD Program provides an optimal research and training environment for graduate students to conduct their PhD research in the field of epigenetics.

To support our research school, we are looking for a highly motivated

Team Assistant for Graduate School (f/m/x) - Part-time 50% 102087

Part time, 19,5 h/week | Neuherberg near Munich | Professionals

Your responsibilities

• You are the first and trusting contact point for international students
• You handle the general administrative tasks of the graduate school
• You organize seminar series, workshops and training courses
• You maintain the homepage and social media
• You help organizing and carrying out application processes
• You support ordering and budgeting
• You help to organise visa, work and residence permits

Your qualifications

• You are proficient in English and German and have a secretarial training (kaufmännische Ausbildung or similar) or an equivalent work experience
• You are a motivated and committed person with strong communication skills at all levels of employees, scientists and management
• You have an independent and structured way of working, are solution-oriented, with team spirit
• You have good knowledge in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and video conferencing

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 8 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited to two years, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
