- Independent, qualified assessment of customer requirements and development of mechanical and system engineering concepts for plants for the incineration of sewage sludge in stationary fluidised bed furnaces and for waste incineration/waste disposal plants
- Definition of mechanical systems and components
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Technical assessment of supplier offers
- Participation in design and warranty reviews
- Contract award negotiations
- Coordination and monitoring of suppliers during order processing, including installation and commissioning support
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of design and standard templates
- Safeguarding expertise by analysing operating results after order processing
- Completed technical university degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, design engineering, process engineering or an equivalent degree programme
- Several years of professional experience in the field of stationary fluidised bed systems
- Experience in sewage sludge and waste incineration or waste disposal technology desirable
- Experience in handling pasty and highly viscous media, preferably municipal sewage sludge
- Use of Windows applications, especially Excel
- Good understanding of contract-related matters with regard to project status and progress and the potential impact on the department
- Confident demeanour; conscientious and independent execution of tasks; high level of personal commitment, willingness to travel in principle, business fluent in German and English; teamwork
