• Organizing and leading of project work packages. Developing, organizing, planning and coordinating research activities focusing on elucidating and interpreting the genomic effects of non-viral genome engineering (responsibilities for planning and maintaining timelines, planing eperimental flow, milestones and deliverables, risk analysis and costs)
• Interpretation of NGS and bioinformatic analysis, vector design, establishment of molecular biology assays and methods for profiling of engineered cells (e.g. single celll analysis, transcriptomics, insertion profiling).
• Arranging project-related scientific collaborations and interaction with internal and external partners and service providers. Organizing, participating and leading project-based team meetings.
• Preparation of project reports and preparation and participation in higher-level meetings. Drafting scientific publications, regulatory documents and patent application documents.
• Onboarding and scientific supervision of team memebers. Overseeing team member's work and providing direction when needed (setting the priorities for the team). Working with director to recruit and hire new employees for the team.
• Attending national and international conferences including presentation of scientific results. Monitoring industry trends and new developments in the field, and sharing this information with colleagues to ensure that the organization remains relevant in it

• Completed doctorate in the field of molecular biology, genome biology or bioinformatics with strong experimental background
• Minimum 3 years of postdoctoral experience, ideally more than 5 years of experience, preferably with focus on genome engineering with integrating viral or non-viral vectors
• Extensive experience in advanced molecular biology methods and techniques (NGS, nanopore sequencing, insertion site library preparation, transcriptomics, single cell technologies, protein quantification, ddPCR, Q-PCR, RT-QPCR for DNA and RNA analytics)
• Deep understanding and experience in interpretation of bioinformatics data.
• Experience with performing bioinformatic analysis of NGS data is an advantage.
• Deep understanding and experience in analysis of insertion profile for integrating vectors
• Deep understanding of the genomic impact of integrating vectors and their biosafety profiles
• Extensive experience with transgenic expression cassette design for integrating vectors and deep understanding of the features and impact of transgenic cassette components on the genomic safety and stability
• Experience in working in cross-functional teams and interdisciplinary research
• Experience in leading and supervision of teams of minimum 3-5 people including scientists, technical staff and students
• Experience in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience with generating biosafety data packages for clinical translation is an advantage
• Excellent spoken and written English is required
• Experience in Pharma/Biotech industry is an advantage
