JetBrains participates in many events worldwide each year, ranging from small ones with 200 to 300 attendees to huge shows with thousands of attendees. We also organize a number of our own events, both online and offsite. Each event is unique and requires its own special attention, focus, and approach.
We are looking for an experienced event manager to strengthen JetBrains presence at offline and online events. You will collaborate closely with people from many different teams, such as Product development, Marketing, Sales, Developer Advocates, and Design.
Main responsibilities:
- Planning online and offline events from start to finish according to the requirements, target audience, objectives, and company workflows.
- Setting, communicating, and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project.
- Coming up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success.
- Sourcing and negotiating with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinating operations and stepping in to resolve any problems to ensure the event is completed smoothly.
- Providing excellent service to internal clients and stakeholders and ensuring quality delivery.
- Analyzing the event’s success and preparing reports.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an event manager with online/offline events.
- Familiarity with and understanding of JetBrains products or similar products from other vendors.
- Project management skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English (Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level).
- Knowledge of marketing techniques for event management.
- Computer savviness and proficiency with project/task management tools (we use YouTrack), MS Office, or similar software.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a multi-task and multi-project environment.
- A knack for problem-solving.
- Being customer service–oriented.
- Ability and desire to work effectively in a distributed team without direct supervision.
Preferable:
- BSc/BA in PR, marketing, or a related field.
- Past experience in IT companies or a technical background.
