What to Expect

The Role:

The individual in this role will deliver financial analytic support for Tesla's Giga Logistics team. Focus will include freight invoice validation supporting payment approval, financial reporting, logistics spend systems improvements, and data analytics.

What You’ll Do

Support the timely validation and payment of logistics invoices
Collaborate with Finance for transportation contracts, cost accruals, and invoice payments
Support the Finance group with logistics information for the monthly and quarterly close processes
Issue statistical or detailed reporting for stakeholders as requested, using SQL to retrieve data from the backend and working with Excel/Power Query to automate and mold data
Analyze operational and finance data and present actionable insights to senior team members and management
Develop and maintain key metrics and executive dashboard on freight invoice payment, logistics cost performance, and cost improvement roadmap actions
Deliver in-depth analysis of logistics network to data-mine opportunities for cost improvement actions and drive data driven decision-making
Identify & execute opportunities to increase bandwidth through automation and streamlining of business processes
Utilize enterprise cost mindset to continuously improve cost and quality for the global material, service, and product distribution network

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in finance, analytics, accounting or supply chain or the equivalent experience and exceptional ability
Experience in analytics, financial or a supply chain role or projects is a plus
Understanding of financial and accounting concepts and procedures within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel, SQL, Tableau/other BI tools
Knowledge of Python, VBA or R is a plus
Exceptional analytical skills with regards to logistics analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create information from data
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results
Fluent English, German is a plus
