Student (m/f/d) in Aerospace Engineering for a Bachelor’s 
 Thesis / Term Paper / Master’s Thesis 
 Scope:Development of a hydrogen turnaround simulation 
 
 Your tasks:  
 Literature review focusing on airport turnaround processes 
 as well as the impact of hydrogen on these processes  
 Review of the existing conventional turnaround simulation 
 written in Java  
 Transition of existing code to Python and integration of the 
 tool into the Bauhaus Luftfahrt Aircraft Design Environment 
 (BLADE)  
 Further development of tool with an increased depth, e.g. 
 considering the actual aircraft geometry defined in CPACS  
 Integration of hydrogen processes into the turnaround tool  
 Validation of tool for existing aircraft  
 Studies regarding the impact of hydrogen on the turnaround 
 process for different aircraft and scenarios 
 Your qualification:  
 You are an enrolled university student (m/f/d) in Aerospace 
 Engineering or a related field  
 You are passionate about aircraft and airport operations  
 You possess experiences in Python and/or Java  
 Preferably you have prior experience with object-oriented 
 code development  
 Your English is of good level both spoken and written
