THE ROLE & THE TEAM

We are looking for an experienced Analytics Lead to join our Customer Analytics team as a Team Lead Customer Insights leveraging customer data to enable data driven business strategies for our 20+ markets. You work for the Customer Analytics function in Zalando's Markets organization, leading the team providing valuable customer insights that support the steering of Zalando's $10Bn+ business. You will help position Zalando's customers at the center of every commercial decision through high impact customer focussed analytics and segmentations.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Lead and develop a team of customer data analysts. Own their engagement and health and support their continuous growth. Shape the team's vision by creating and owning the team's (long term) roadmaps.
Derive actionable customer insights enabling data driven business decisions for your stakeholders. Forecast the development of key customer metrics, identify new strategic opportunities and recommend actions supporting the customer strategy. Communicate your findings and recommendations to key business decision makers across the company up to the Executive Level
Develop and maintain our self-service customer reporting infrastructure that enables teams across Zalando to work autonomously with our data, KPIs and insights.
Drive innovation, analytical rigour and best practices within your team. Create a technical environment for your team to perform their work with state of the art tools.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

A university degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable subject. Proven track record of 7+ years experience in analytics with 2+ years of experience managing and developing analytics teams in a digital environment. Experience with working with customer data
Strong technical background with advanced SQL skills and programming background (e.g. Python, Jupyter, Airflow, Databricks). Excellent knowledge in coding for data retrieval, exploration and analysis. Advanced statistical skills such as causal inference and/or A/B testing. Basic understanding of Data Science methodologies
Understanding of the economics of online platforms and/or online fashion retailers as well as the commercial KPIs governing their success
Effective communication to convince any audience with the insights you and your team generate, compelling storytelling in any form enables decision-making
