Job Description
QuIC is looking for a talented Marketing & Communications Manager to join its internal staff on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will individually lead all communications and marketing activities of the association. The Communications Manager will report directly to the Executive Director of QuIC.

Key Responsibilities
Communications
- Define, implement and execute a communication strategy across all activity areas of QuIC and all communication channels (social media, newsletter, magazine, website, others).
- Manage design and content across all QuIC communication channels.
- Work with Executive Director and QuIC leadership to ensure content reflects the QuIC strategy.
- Track and report on engagement across all communication channels. Brief QuIC leadership on communication performance.
- Make data-driven decisions using analytics and feedback from the QuIC leadership, fellow colleagues within the QuIC secretariat, QuIC members, and key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain brand guidelines and design templates for the entire QuIC organisation to ensure coherent and consistent brand and visual identity.
- Create key digital tools and other resources for communications and marketing activities.
Editorial
- Lead the design and creation of key multimedia materials, including press releases, website and social media content, brochures, newsletter and advertisements.
- Provide direct advise to colleagues on technical issues, style, tone, and content of pieces.
- Support colleagues in external communications, including basic training.
Events
- Work in close relationship with QuIC Event Manager on branding and communications at conferences and events (e.g. online marketing, poster design, etc.)
Press and Media Relations
- Manage relations with external publishing groups and other communication vendors to publicise high-profile achievements and publications.
- Act as primary point of contact for QuIC media and communications relations.
Your Profile
- Confirmed professional experience (10+ years) in communications and/or marketing, particularly in the scientific and/or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and measure the impact of external communications.
- Confident and effective communication skills.
- A keen eye for details, able to maintain brand value and quality.
- Proficient with several professional graphic and digital design tools, and experience with SEO.
- Relevant IT skills and experience for communication across a range of media and platforms.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in English. Business proficiency in another European language is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to work collaboratively and build relationships with a broad array of internal and external stakeholders. Strong preference for candidates with international experience.
- Entrepreneurial spirit: able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and stay well organised.
- Citizen or legal resident with work permit of a Member State of the European Union, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.
