Your Mission at PUMA
As a Merchandise Planner, you will take charge of the commercial success for specific product categories across PUMA Retail Europe. Your primary focus is to create and implement strategic merchandise plans that boost sales and ensure optimal inventory productivity. By working closely with teams in Merchandising, Allocation, and Finance, you turn business goals into concrete results.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage seasonal financial plans to hit commercial targets and business objectives.
- Oversee sales, margin, and inventory forecasting at category, channel, and market levels.
- Monitor performance KPIs to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks through data-driven analysis.
- Collaborate with Merchandising to refine product assortments, depths, and lifecycles.
- Partner with Allocation to streamline inventory flow and store replenishment strategies.
- Lead business reviews and provide clear, actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Support Open-to-Buy management and strategic inventory investment decisions.
- Contribute to pricing and markdown strategies to maximize full-price sell-through.
Your Profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related analytical field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Planning, or a similar commercial role.
- Strong background in the retail, fashion, or consumer goods industry is highly preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills with a deep understanding of retail KPIs like sell-through and stock turn.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI and planning tools is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English is required.
