The Role
For our Project Portfolio team in Hamburg, Bristol oder Warsaw, we are looking for a Manager Project Portfolio (m/f/d)!
The Manager Project Portfolio plays a critical role within the Global Supply Chain Strategy function, focusing on the governance, management, and optimization of the entire project portfolio of Global Supply Chain (GSC). This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to drive alignment between project initiatives and overarching business objectives, contributing to overall business success and value creation.
This role reports into Head of GSC Project Portfolio, and works closely with Portfolio Business Partners, Delivery Team Leads, as well as Director Strategy, Head of Strategy & Performance as well as other Supply Chain Leader and leading a team of Portfolio Specialist, Coordinators and Analysts.
What are your major duties?
Project Portfolio Governance:
- Enable clear decision-making processes and criteria for project and programme selection, prioritization, and resource allocation within the GSC project portfolio. Further ensure compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies throughout the project and programme lifecycle.
- Establish and streamline benefit realization management processes across GSC, including defining relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the achievement of project, programme, and portfolio benefits. Furter develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring KPIs and metrics to assess overall project portfolio health and progress, as well as own best practice and lessons learned repository for project and programmes across GSC.
Project Portfolio Management:
- Develop and maintain the overall roadmap for the GSC project portfolio, aligned with organizational goals and resource constraints.
- Proactively identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements within the project portfolio, driving initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness. As well as Proactively identify and assess risks and dependencies across the GSC project portfolio, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across GSC and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of the GSC project portfolio with business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and communication on project portfolio status, progress, and key milestones and KPIs to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Further act as a liaison between project delivery, stakeholders, and senior leadership to facilitate alignment and decision-making.
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, MoP) preferred.
- 3 years of experience in project portfolio management, strategic planning, and execution within a complex organizational environment, preferably in the FMCG or related industry.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale project portfolios.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consolidate complex information and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
