The Role: Driving Serviceability and Excellence

As a SERP Engineer, you will collaborate with commercial and aftersales teams to evaluate program design proposals against serviceability requirements. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will oversee the product lifecycle from early design phases through production to end-of-life operations. By utilizing digital and physical evaluations, you will identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, improve repair efficiency, and manage internal warranty objectives.

Key Responsibilities

In the area of Paint and Body specialization, you will assist in creating operating standards, appoint material suppliers, and define repair strategies for modified vehicles. This includes identifying and approving specialized tooling for welding, structural repairs, and riveting. You will also develop the approved repairer network and liaise with insurance companies regarding vehicle ratings and crash testing requirements.

Within the SERP scope, you will represent the aftersales team in developing Body in White (BIW) service assemblies and cut strategies. You will define joining methodologies for manufacturing transferability and develop warranty paint scope. Your role involves reviewing body repair procedures, managing digital evaluations of design proposals, and conducting physical assessments on prototype vehicles to ensure seamless serviceability.
