Description

Resident Engineer for HIL system – E-mobility team

As a hardware Engineer, you will focus on the development and commissioning of HIL systems and ensure the smooth operation and further development of our HIL simulators according to customer plan.

Your Tasks:

Conceptual design, project planning, issues tracking and support for HIL commissioning.
Implementation of customer requirements by selecting suitable hardware components.
Software adaptations of the HIL systems for the integration of control units in the field of comfort electronics, powertrain, and vehicle dynamics.
Maintenance and further development of models in Simulink for DUT validation.
Assessment of test results (independently and together with client specialists)
Technical support in collaboration with the support team at our headquarters
Design of circuit diagrams and construction diagrams with EPLAN P8 including commissioning of the specific circuit realized.
Mechanical construction, electrical wiring for HIL simulators
Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues that arise during the commissioning process.
Generate comprehensive documentation, including configuration files, issues solved, hardware specs and verification reports.

Job requirements

Your Profile:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical or a related field.
Proven experience in hardware design for automated validation systems, with a focus on circuit design and construction diagrams.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Proficiency in using EPLAN P8 is a plus.
Good knowledge of circuit and control technology as well as in the handling of measuring devices.
Solid understanding of electronic components, microcontrollers, and signal processing techniques.
Knowledge of hardware platforms (e.g., VN5620/VN5430, CANanalyzer, DS1006, SCALEXIO,) and software tools (e.g., CANdb++, CANoe, ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, ModelDesk, MotionDesk).
Minimum 3 years of working experience in the field.
Good knowledge of German and English.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to hardware design and testing.
Customer oriented mindset.
