On behalf of our client from Germany, Mobilunity is looking for A PHP/WordPress developer on a part time basis.

About the project:

Our client is working on developing a recipe application with a recipe of the day. The project consists of two parts: WordPress part and Flutter Application itself. The project helps users to search the recipes according to their diet and preferences. There are different directions the project works in: low-calorie, vegan and other recipes. For these directions and different geolocations, there are WordPress websites.

Responsibilities:

• Build new functionality
• Add new REST API endpoints
• Support existing codebase
• Modification of existing templates, refinement of functionality
• Creation and layout of new templates
• Bugfix

Requirements:

• 2.5+ years of commercial experience as a WP/PHP developer
• Intermediate level of English
• Strong experience in creating and changing WP themes and plugins
• WordPress action, filters, custom queries strong understanding
• JavaScript, jQuery knowledge
• Good knowledge of PHP and OOP
• Good knowledge of MySQL
• ACF (pro) experience
• REST API experience
• Adaptive design, cross-browser layout, compliance with W3C standards
• Experience with Version Control: Git
• WP multilanguage experience (WPML or Polylang)
• Ability to understand other people’s code
• Attention to detail, self-motivated
• Can dig into, identify and resolve problems

Will be a plus:

• Understanding of SOLID principles
• PHP patterns understanding
• Optimizing queries
• Using cache
