We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and automation. You will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities

What is important:

• All test execution tasks are performed in a timely manner and don't pile up
• Test design tasks are performed in a timely manner and don't pile up
• Clear and timely communication with the team
• Requests for support from the team are handled in a timely basis, and correctly (based on any available instructions and attention to detail)

Specific responsibilities:

• Design and automate test cases
• Run manual test executions
• Manage and setup test devices
• Executing and monitoring automated tests
• Troubleshoot test failures and keep the lab running smoothly
• Collaborate with engineers to bring up and/or maintain device lab infrastructure


• Design test cases for computer vision algorithms
• Write maintainable code by applying best practices
• Be available on-site for troubleshooting issues and assisting engineers when problems arise
• Analyzing logs and output from complex automation systems to root cause failures/issues and take corrective actions
• Prioritizing tasks and communicating with team members to identify correct order of tasks.

Skills

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in software testing and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Unix fundamentals for setting up and maintaining test environments.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation.
• Experience with UI automation testing, particularly on iOS and macOS platforms (highly preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong programming skills in two or more languages such as Python, C/C++, Swift, Data Base, etc
• Ability to specify the root cause from the entire HW/SW system

Nice to have

• Familiarity with mobile and web application testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with robotics software systems such as ROS1, ROS2
• Familiarity with Linux OS
• Experience with robotics QA
