To enhance DB Schenker’s vision and IT Governance’ strategic direction, a new IT Governance organization structure has been implemented. The mission and objective for the IT Governance department is to cope with the existing and upcoming challenges for IT to give orientation, guidance and advice to the global Schenker IT community. As a functional unit, the IT Governance department has regulatory control responsibilities within the global IT Organization.

Purpose of `Global IT Planning and Performance Management` team as a part of IT Governance, is developing and optimizing the global IT delivery lifecycle and ensuring the effective and efficient use of IT resources within the global IT & Digitalization (IT&D) organization by determining, implementing and managing related planning and performance management processes and structures based on strategic IT&D direction and corporate governance regulations. In your role as IT Financial Manager you are part of the Global IT Planning and Performance Management team, disciplinary reporting to the SVP Global IT Governance and functionally reporting to the VP Global Cost Controlling.

• Support planning processes (e.g., Forecast, Budget) for global IT&D function through preparation of tools and processes, breakdown and communication of expectation, plausibility checks, alignment with IT&D organization and Transformation program
• Support IT&D departments in planning of actual execution (e. g. EI planning, depreciation planning, FTE planning)
• Review investment applications and further decisions regarding their impact on global IT&D budget and department expectation
• Support the integration of IT&D planning into overall Schenker planning and the alignment with finance function on process and contents
• Perform the Month-end closing for Head Office IT&D and the alignment with Accounting/Controlling including Accruals, plausibility checks, delta analysis and commentation
• Provide regular functional reporting and performance/delta analysis for IT&D function in alignment with IT&D departments and regional IT&D (e. g. monthly financials, project portfolio, investments, FTE, BU/FU charging)
• Support further IT Financial Management processes (e. g. internal charging, resource management)
• Support the further development of tools, processes, and methodologies in the area of IT Financial Management

• A university degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems or economics or equivalent education
• Advanced financial knowledge
• General knowledge of IT and knowledge of industry standards, frameworks and methodologies in the area of IT Governance (e.g. COBIT)
• Experience in the area of IT Financial Management or IT Controlling would be an advantage
• Ideally job experience in a business environment within an international company
• Profound knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Excel
• Knowledge of Bee4IT/Bee360 as an IT Management tool and/or TM1 (IBM Cognos), SAP ERP/BW as reporting tools are from advantage
• Strong communication and social competencies combined with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and IT stakeholders
• Experience of working in an Intercultural environment
• Competence in both analytical/conceptual and hands-on practice
• Languages: Fluent in English, oral & written (must), fluent in German, oral & written (desirable)
