The IT Operations Application Hosting team is looking for a talented and passionate Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Linux, Kubernetes and automation. If you are passionate about both the design and operation of highly available cloud and application infrastructures and are always looking for new challenges, you've come to the right place. We offer an environment characterised by collaboration, initiative and co-determination:
Tasks
- You develop, operate and expand our internal development service infrastructure (e.g. Elastic - Stack, GitLab CI/CD, VictoriaMetrics, API - Gateways).
- You support product development as part of the conception and development of new external cloud-based products and take over their subsequent operation.
- You design and optimise build and deployment pipelines.
- You take part in a rotating on-call service if a problem cannot be solved by a self-healing process.
Qualifications
In addition to a successfully completed technical degree or comparable training, you are a team player who enjoys designing and operating large infrastructures and complex systems. You have already gained practical experience with Linux, containers and Kubernetes as part of your career to date and are confident in using them.
You are a convinced automation expert. When you recognise a problem, you can't help but fix it at the root. You are familiar with agile working methods and your heart beats for DevOps, CI/CD and cloud native topics.
- Enthusiasm for the development, automation and operation of cloud-based application infrastructures.
- Sound knowledge of the Linux operating system, container technologies and Kubernetes in particular.
- Experience in using software and tools for automation and configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Rundeck, SaltStack, Terraform, helm).
- Programming skills, e.g. in Golang or Python, as well as in dealing with REST APIs.
- Experience in the design, customisation and maintenance of build and deployment pipelines with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD), as well as interest in GitOps.
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting highly available and distributed infrastructures, including monitoring, alerting and log analysis of distributed applications (e.g. Prometheus, thanos.io, Grafana, Fluent-bit, ELK, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry).
