   Could you be the full-time Ergonomics Engineer in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
   Your future role
 Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Kirstin Toepfer (Domain Lead of Train Design - General Studies) and Denis Miglianico (Head of core competence network Ergonomics and Human Machine Interface), and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates across the globe.
 You’ll specifically participate in project/offer development through the application of procedures, instructions and guidelines of the human factors (HF)/ergonomics discipline and align with internal (e.g. Advanced and Creative Design, Train Design Engineering, Train System Engineering, Train Architecture) and external stakeholders (e.g. suppliers & customers).
   We’ll look to you to be operative on the following activities:
  - Human factors/ergonomics assessment with Catia V5, Human Builder, Human posture analysis, Human activities analysis in the frame of tenders and projects 
- Assessment of display interfaces, definition of design rules 
- Human factors studies: workload and risk identification and assessment 
- Use of anthropometric data to derive design dimensions 
- Preparation, analysis and interpretation of Return on Experience (REX), 
- Research and Development (R&D) under the coordination of the Core Competence Network (CCN) 
Also to other activities such as:
  - To contribute to all Alstom programs & projects facing technical activities in human factors/ergonomics related fields 
- To be responsible for continuously raising the expertise in the domain of human factors/ergonomics, design of cabin and cars, design of seat and footrest, maintenance of sub-systems etc., 
- To be responsible for human factors-related risk analysis and workload evaluations 
- To contribute to a user-friendly design of passenger accessible areas incl. passenger information (public address, video, etc...) 
- To contribute to a design with a high degree of usability considering the needs of humans (passengers, staff) in the domain of services (catering and distribution), as well as within sleeper cabinets of night trains 
- To be responsible for the assessment of controls, indicators and display screens in the drivers cab (including heuristic evaluation methods) 
- To be accountable for the maintainability and cleanability 
- To be responsible for platform, pre-projects and projects, simulations for cab visibility, workplace accessibility and reachability.  
- To be responsible for creating reports to summarize results of human factors activities 
- To be responsible for providing simulations and test specifications to verify and validate the human factors-related performance level. 
- To promote the use of and contribute to developing mock-ups for the design of cabins and cars. 
- To contribute to defining and deploying processes and tools for human factors simulation and assessment 
- To contribute to the development of engineering instructions, guidelines and document review check lists (DRCL). 
- To contribute to the development, deployment and promotion of the 3D model library of digital manikins, driver’s desks, seats and footrests etc. 
- To be responsible for the Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) of ergonomics/human factors engineering activities 
- To contribute to developing relationships with Regions and Platforms to retrieve REX about similar architecture and HF/ergonomics validation of simulated solutions 
- To contribute to the development of relationships with universities 
- To contribute to performing active technical watch 
- To be responsible for reporting on a regular basis on the progress of the different activities 
- To be responsible for providing support and for continuously developing expertise within ergonomics methodologies, assessments etc.
