Das Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH sucht einen AI Consultant for Science für das Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), das über Europas leistungsfähigste Supercomputing-Infrastruktur einschließlich JUPITER, dem ersten Exascale-System Europas, verfügt. In der Abteilung „Applied Machine Learning" entwickeln Sie state-of-the-art Machine-Learning-Anwendungen für interdisziplinäre wissenschaftliche Forschung in Zusammenarbeit mit der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft. Die Position umfasst die Identifikation, Entwicklung und Implementierung von ML-Techniken auf High-Performance-Computern sowie die aktive Beteiligung an nationalen und internationalen Communities. Die Stelle ist zunächst auf zwei Jahre befristet und wird nach TVöD-Bund Entgeltgruppe 13 vergütet. Sie arbeiten in einem hybriden Arbeitsmodell mit 39 Wochenstunden in Jülich und haben Zugang zu einzigartiger Exascale-Infrastruktur für grundlagen- und anwendungsorientierte KI-Forschung.

Within our lab “Applied Machine Learning”, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and development of state-of-the-art machine learning applications for scientific research. Join us in shaping the future of science with AI, where your expertise will contribute to groundbreaking interdisciplinary projects.
In this position, you will be an active part of our AI Consulting Team. Together with our partners, we develop new and innovative applications of Machine Learning. You will connect to scientists and investigate possible applications of ML in fields like Chemistry, Numerics, Computational Biology, Astrophysics, Particle Physics etc. You will be involved in all phases of this process.
