The Quantum Computing and Technologies Department (QCT) at LRZ is a team of computer science
and quantum physics specialists researching, advancing and providing quantum computing technolo-
gies for local and international advanced computing communities. The QCT team provides scientific
users with a broad portfolio of quantum resources and services, including quantum simulators, remote
access to quantum hardware, on-premise quantum systems, development environment tools, scientific
consultancy, and education/training. A main focus of this team is the research and development of
integration pathways for quantum acceleration capabilities for next- generation high-performance com-

We're actively seeking a great person for a limited special project:

Market Researcher (f/m/d) for Quantum User Community

Generally, in this position, you:

• Will collect and analyze quantitative or qualitative research to discover user needs

• Assist in designing and conducting user-facing surveys, focus groups and interviews

• Assist in defining market segments, construction of user personas and building of demo-

• Analyze data through statistical methods

• Review sources of market research and incorporate into LRZ’s findings to achieve a robust

• Deliver valid, reliable market research results in reports and presentations

• Assist in design of large-scale user studies for state, national and European projects

• Serve as voice-of-the-user offering recommendations to technical teams developing user-fac-

Skills you need:

• Master’s in Statistics, Marketing, Organizational Psychology or related field with proven mar-

ket research analysis experience

• Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office

• Strong analytical and critical thinking

• Great team member skills, able to work very well with others, self-starter spirit and a drive to

figure things out when faced with uncertainty

• Proficiency in English, interest in learning German

• Quantum computing knowledge is valuable, but not required
