Position Overview

(part-time between 50-100%, Munich or Porto)

We are looking for a CTO* (part-time or full-time) to complete our management team – next to Product Management and Sales and Services, reporting into our CEO.

We need you to – together with your team – ensure effective and flexible data handling and to provide smart analytics for users of all levels of data literacy in the platform you build, enhance and operate.

Key Responsibilities
Be part of the C-Level Management team and bring the tech view to the table, drive initiatives and make strategic decisions
Shape our products’ and company strategy with us by providing your technical expertise and creativity
Increase understanding of and alignment with product development best practices across the entire organization
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product Management and Sales to guarantee effective product commercialization and market penetration
Take full technical responsibility for our platform and applications and their smooth operation and Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards
Manage technology budgets and time frames
Support your team and direct reports by setting clear goals, providing consistent and actionable feedback, and intentionally supporting professional development
Lead and further develop and grow our international tech team with engineering, data and operations colleagues
Love agile project work and management principles
Stay on top of technology trends and developments
Open to tackling the big and small challenges, that might get in the way when scaling a data product
Your Experience/Skills
Prior CTO or Tech Lead experience for a data product
Strong technical background, especially in a GCP / Big Data environment
First-hand experience in state-of-the-art development practices
Strong believe in data-driven products
Experience in scaling a data business before
Gained experience in building a SaaS solution
Exceptional leadership skills
Able to articulate a succinct strategy to Engineering and non-Engineering audiences.
It would be awesome if you also had a great interest for retail or even experience in that industry.
Excellent English language skills, German is a bonus (but not obligatory)
