Economist Impact - Events brings the rigour of informed analysis and intelligent debate that The Economist is known for to life via live and virtual events. We host over 80 events annually in over 30 countries on topics that convene world-class thought leaders on a range of strategic business issues. We are currently seeking a Client Services Manager who will be responsible for maintaining client satisfaction through the smooth running of event registration and providing the highest levels of client servicing from conception, delivery and post event administration.

How you will contribute:

To manage the day to day activities of the Economist Impact events CS team and their direct report(s):

• Respond to internal and external enquiries/queries to ensure a professional and responsive service at all times across all event inboxes
• Create and test events on Cvent for both scheduled and custom events as and when required for EMEA, Americas and APAC
• Manage the global Cvent registration platform and work closely with the Head of Customer Services to develop best practice, new advances on the platform and mitigate issues that may arise per event
• Ensure the smooth integration onto external virtual event platforms including setting up data links prior to the integration; checking data flows; assisting with report running and liaising directly with the external provider
• Coordinate and editing customer communications including proactive approach for recommendations to the marketing team
• Internal contact for OnArrival onsite check-in equipment / virtual platform integration
• Ensure all forms and delegate communications are executed to a high standard and are consistent across portfolios
• Assist the HofCS to identify and apply efficiencies to ensure tasks are executed in the minimum time
• Responsible for delegate registration and reporting from event launch to onsite delivery
• Deliver first-class onsite delegate experience by ensuring that all equipment is onsite and tested well in advance for a smooth delegate check-in
• Ensure that all delegate, attendee and overall event analysis is carried out and recorded post-event and give feedback on any areas that could be improved

The ideal skills for this role are:

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience within B2B events
• Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods in the run up to large scheduled events
• Available to work from the registered office on a weekly basis as and when required
• Technically minded and an ability to learn fast in a pressurised environment along with the ability to multitask
• Experience of using CVENT(or other similar platforms) and Salesforce would be preferable
• Experience of working front of house at events is essential
• Experience of processing information using databases with intermediate knowledge of Excel
• Covid allowing, flexibility to travel onsite to events both here in UK and overseas for up to five days per trip during the calendar year (20%)
• Previous experience of managing staff is preferable but not essential
