We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Compliance & Control to join our Compliance & Ethics team. This role is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Provide Compliance advise to the business on Compliance matters, including Data Privacy and Financial Crime
• Helps to bring the BNYM legal entities in Germany into compliance with standard regulatory and policy requirements.
• Proactively identifies and advises upon emerging Compliance issues
• Conduct Compliance reviews of business areas
• As directed, analyses existing legislation, regulatory announcements and industry practices in order to ensure the German legal entities are in compliance with current requirements.
• Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. The staff member will not have employees who will report into him/her.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Business, Finance or Law degree preferred.
• Proven Financial Services, Audit or Compliance background and/or experience with financial services compliance and/or experience with the assigned products, services or business lines/areas and the pertaining laws, regulations and rules (e.g. KWG, MaRisk, GwG, WpHG, KAGB VerwahrstellenRS) preferred.
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Fluency in English is also a pre-requisite both orally and in writing.
