🚗 Senior Agentic AI Engineer – Driving AI Innovation bei BMW AG in München

In this role, you will design, build, and industrialize production-grade AI and Generative AI solutions across multiple business domains. You will take full technical ownership of selected AI initiatives – from problem framing and architecture through implementation, evaluation, and productive rollout – while collaborating in dynamic cross-functional teams.

What you will do:

• Design, build, and scale production-grade AI and GenAI solutions across diverse enterprise use cases and data environments
• Take technical ownership of AI initiatives from architecture to deployment
• Build scalable AI systems covering model integration, orchestration, retrieval, evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and deployment
• Challenge existing approaches and bring state-of-the-art AI engineering knowledge into the organization
• Define reusable engineering patterns, technical standards, and best practices for AI solutions
• Mentor less experienced engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and hands-on enablement

What you bring:

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python skills
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and industrializing AI, GenAI, or ML-based systems in production environments
• Strong understanding of modern AI system design: LLM integration, orchestration, RAG, evaluation, monitoring, APIs, and deployment
• Practical experience with cloud-based engineering environments (AWS or Azure), including CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
• Ability to take technical ownership in ambiguous situations and translate complex business problems into scalable AI solutions
• Willingness to work across changing domains, teams, and use cases in an international team
