The Medical Faculty Mannheim is looking for a highly motivated
PhD student (m/f/d) in Vascular Biology (CRC1366 B03)
Our group „Clinical and Molecular Dermatology“ (led by Prof. Dr. Cyrill Géraud) focuses on a promising and seminal research field in vascular biology as well as on the control of organic function and disease processes by organ-specific endothelial cells.
- Advance research in the field of vascular biology in an international setting in the CRC1366, Project B03
- Work with different preclinical animal models (mice) for endothelial cell biology and immunology
- Image analysis and different staining techiques (Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, RNA-ISH)
- Cell culture of different cell lines for endocytosis assays
- Analysis of transcriptomic data (RNA-Seq, Proteomics)
- MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Veterinary Medicine, Molecular Medicine or a related subject
- High sense of responsibility, being able to work independently, high motivation, communicational skills and team spirit
- Experience with practical lab work (e.g. Cell culture, Western blot, qRT-PCR, RNA and protein isolation)
- An interest in microscopy and different staining techiques (Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, RNA-ISH)
- Fluency in English and German (preferably)
- A job with a high level of responsibility and a varied range of tasks
