What will you be doing?
The Business Insights Analyst will act as a trusted advisor to a major Swiss retailer by delivering new client-led solutions and data-driven insights, as well as providing consulting services and day-to-day operational support. With Circana’s proprietary analytical solutions, the primary activities will be designing, developing and delivering new capabilities that enable users to analyze customer insights and make data-driven decisions. You will also exercise your own problem solving skills by contributing towards customer insights projects and communicating the findings and recommendations to key stakeholders. Secondarily, you will identify new opportunities for growth and foster day to day relationships between Circana and our Retail partners to drive mutually beneficial value. This role will be based in Germany and requires travel to Zurich on a regular basis.
Reporting to the Head of Client Partnerships EMEA, there are several areas of responsibility of the role:
- Embed Circana’s proprietary customer insights solutions within the retailer and supplier processes by developing easy-to-use report visualisations and dashboards. Support the training and on-boarding of our tools to new and existing users across the business.
- Collaborate with Circana global teams to leverage best practices and bring forward new ideas for solutions and ways of working.
- Collaborate with Retail stakeholders to ensure customer data becomes the cornerstone for all appropriate analytical and business processes
- Create and deliver industry-leading customer insights analysis for the retailer which aims to understand their customer behaviours and drive actionable recommendations on categories, brands, customer loyalty and retail performance.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the customer insights technology through quality checks and problem resolution in order to maintain SLAs
- You will also look to bring best practices and capabilities from other EMEA regions to our Retail partner in order to support continuous learning and knowledge share
Requirements
- Educated ideally to degree level and/ or with (2-4 years) relevant professional experience
- Analytical mindset and able to draw out insights, conclusions and make recommendations.
- Understanding of Retail and/or Grocery/Manufacturing industries as well as traditional data assets such as POS, Market Measurement, Loyalty or Shopper. Supply Chain and/or Retail Media an added benefit
- Great communication skills and comfortable making presentations to internal and external parties
- Pedagogical in your approach to transfer knowledge and analysis to others in an easy-to-understand way and in non-technical terms
- Detail oriented, collaborative and able to manage project work
- Service-oriented, professional, and proactive team player. You are self-motivated, ambitious and have a ‘can do’ attitude and able to work independently
- Good knowledge of Office 365, Tableau, Power BI or visualizers as you leverage these skillsets to build out new solutions that enable others or yourself to tell your insights story. Additional skills using SQL/Snowflake, R, SPSS are an added bonus
- Fluent in German and English. Must be eligible to work in the EU
