Your tasks:

• Develop numerical methods for the efficient computational optimization of slender shell and membrane structures in the framework of IGA.
• Explore applications of the developed framework in classical engineering structures, biomedical and biophysical engineering.
• Involve in teaching activities at the Institute for Structural Mechanics as well as advise/supervise bachelor and master theses on related topics.

Your profile:

• The candidate should have a master degree in civil or mechanical engineering or in compatible fields, e.g. computational engineering, computational mechanics or applied mathematics.
• The candidate should possess a high level of abstract thinking and be familiar with sophisticated programming languages such as C++ and Python.
• Excellent command of English in speaking and writing are required.
