Job Description
We are looking for a proactive (Senior) Data Engineer (all genders) to join our Business Intelligence team and take the responsibility of supporting internal stakeholders by building and maintaining data pipelines and ingestions, and further developing a shared data platform used for reporting and taking data-driven business decisions across the organization.
- Perform technical maintenance and development of the reporting data warehouse and data lake, including pipeline architecture decisions, testing and integration of new technologies
- Manage stakeholder expectations and translate business requests to technical specifications
- Proactively support the Business Intelligence, Finance, Controlling, Marketing and Sales teams with data related requests
- Help to analyze and improve products available on 2.5+ billion devices globally
Qualifications
- Completion of university or college studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in the Big Data field.
- Proficiency in working with AWS cloud solutions; experience with Azure cloud, particularly in the Synapse environment, is advantageous. Knowledge of GCP is also beneficial
- Strong programming skills in Python and extensive SQL proficiency; familiarity with Scala is a bonus, as is knowledge of Meltano
- Understanding of Docker, Airflow, and DBT, along with experience in maintaining Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions such as Redshift and other AWS services
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with stakeholders and provide technical mentoring to individuals with a less technical background.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus
