Our CARIDIANS are developing vehicle functions such as driver assistance systems, a next-generation infotainment platform, power electronics and charging technology, and digital services in and around the vehicle.

Our software can already be found in Volkswagen ID. models and will soon power Audi and Porsche vehicles with the E3 1.2 platform in 2024.

YOUR TEAM

The CARIAD Technology&Architecture Test Center is team in the build-up phase. As Test Center we are responsible to validate the delivery products of our department. This includes the development of the test concepts, the test infrastructure, and all operations to ensure software release validation for usage in vehicle projects of all Volkswagen brands. The validation task focus on components cross-cutting technologies like networking, security and diagnosis.

The Test Center department has the responsibility to ensure highly efficient test operations of components on all current technology platforms. The main part of the tests will be on dedicated test racks, but it might be extended to all infrastructure levels (HIL simulators, lab cars, integration vehicles), as well as on-site integration including plant support.
We are looking for new colleagues who are experienced in state-of-the-art testing and are eager to build a powerful team to support the development of the leading automotive tech stack.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Define and execute all required testing activities for the validation of CARIAD customer functions
• Ensure required test infrastructure availability and proper functionality (e.g. planning, control, monitoring and decision making regarding maintenance of hardware and software tools)
• Execute and continuously improve all required test automation solutions based on CARIAD frameworks to ensure highly efficient testing operations
• Test customer functions according to the integration sprints defined by the project using state-of-the-art infrastructure
• Drive root cause analysis in case of development issues in cooperation with all internal and external development partners
• Drive defect management processes to resolve detected issues and defend findings in program meetings
• Responsible for documentation according to applicable standards (e.g. ISO)

WHO YOU ARE

• Academic or professional education in a relevant engineering, science, mathematics, software or information technology field is required
• Professional experience in automotive testing (optinal ISTQB)
• Professional experience in automotive architectures and communication systems (e.g. CAN, Ethernet)
• Professional experience in state-of-the-art validation tool usage (e.g. Wireshark, Vector CANoe)
• Practical experiences in development of test concepts and required infrastructure
  Programming skills
• Innovative and courageous thinking in order to define and implement cutting-edge technology solutions
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus
