Your role: Working in an international team of experts with diverse backgrounds, you will collaborate with production, R&D teams, and product managers to replace hazardous chemicals in processes or products. Using the Safe & Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework, you will evaluate the safety of potential alternatives, working closely with Registration Experts, Regulatory & Computational Toxicologists, and Life Cycle Assessment Experts to gather results. This interdisciplinary role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to be effective and to communicate results to internal stakeholders and external partners. You will also stay updated on SSbD advancements and integrate new developments into the innovation process.

Who you are:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in exposure assessment, ecotoxicology, toxicology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in chemical risk assessment, human health and/or environmental exposure assessment
• Familiarity with common exposure assessment models (e.g., ECETOC TRA, EUSES in Chesar, Merlin Expo, ConsExpo, etc.) for assessing human exposure and environmental fate of chemicals.
• Basic knowledge of sustainable chemistry and green chemistry principles.
• Experience in developing and implementing sustainable chemical substitution strategies is advantageous.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a collaborative mindset.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
