- Previous experience in content licensing and/or business development, including negotiation support and partner development skills
- Proven track record in establishing commercial relationships with third parties and proven ability to support negotiation of complex license or business development agreements
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (e.g. ability to use and modify data sets in Excel, write SQL queries and export data, etc.)
- Experience in either a large content group (channel group or studio), acquirer of content (e.g. Pay TV) or media rights
- Fluent in English and German as you will engage with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and internationally.

Amazon is seeking a senior commercial leader to join our Prime Video content team and help grow Prime Video business in Europe. This individual will help define and, in turn, execute the content acquisition strategy for Prime Video Channels in Germany.
In addition to experience of the local market, the ideal candidate is a critical thinker who has an attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, is cool under pressure, and isn’t afraid to roll his/her sleeves up as needed. S/he has experience in working with local and international content owners, supporting negotiation of complex agreements, helping develop new business models and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. S/he must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate thoughts and ideas, both written and verbally, and think outside of his/her direct sphere of responsibility.

Key job responsibilities
- Support and execute the content acquisition strategy for Prime Video Channels
- Help build a plan to have the most compelling content for Amazon customers
- Develop and document acquisition plans, financial metrics and goals for senior management approval
- Help studios, TV broadcasters and content owners/aggregators to conceptualize new subscription services that Amazon customers will love
- Use customer behaviour, usage and consumption data to inform decision-making
- Build and manage relationships with senior-level leaders at content providers
- Lead relationships with studios, channel groups and more niche video media organizations
- Support all aspects of content negotiations regarding content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical requirements
- Work with in-house and external legal counsels
- Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Amazon Prime Video
- Maintain a can-do attitude and a willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary
