Your responsibilities

As an Asset Performance Manager you will drive the value maximization and green transformation of Uniper’s power stations. You will achieve this by developing asset specific strategies with Uniper’s power stations and by contributing to the execution of those strategies. Your focus will be on the German market but there will also be projects across other Uniper markets.

In the role you will:

• Analyze energy markets and assess their potential impact on Uniper’s power stations
• Analyze the commercial performance of Uniper’s power stations based on different technical scenarios and market sensitivities
• Create strategies for Uniper’s power stations, together with power plant leadership and other Uniper functions, to maximize value and enable their individual green transformations
• Develop new ideas to maximize asset value based on changes in the energy markets and at the power stations
• Contribute to strategy execution by carrying out financial evaluations and making recommendations to senior management on investment opportunities and potential operational changes in response to market changes
• Execute strategy by managing cross-functional projects that maximize the value of Uniper’s power stations

Your profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, energy economics or similar
• At least five years of experience in the power generation sector
• Some experience with the commercial side of power generation and the keen interest to learn more
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills that can be applied to engineering and commercial topics
• A track record of driving activities independently
• Fluent German (minimum C2)
• Excellent written and spoken English

You will be based in Germany and you'll need to travel to German power stations and the Düsseldorf headquarters on a regular basis and other Uniper locations in Europe occasionally.
