Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the GF Group Finance team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a temporary, part-time basis (19 HPW), for 3 to 12 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Working Student Accounting and Finance.
You will support us in the development of an internal training program. In this context, you will work with us to identify relevant training content in accordance with HGB, IFRS and Solvency II as well as for individual and consolidated financial statements, prepare the content and create the training documentation.
Additionally, you will support in the preparation of complex HGB and IFRS accounting issues. One focus is the Share Awards Hedging program. In this context you should:
- Develop deep understanding of HanRe Share Awards remuneration program and associated hedging program with OTC derivatives (total return equity swaps)
- Support monitoring and documentation of Share Awards reserve (hedged item) and OTC derivatives (hedging instrument)
- Implement own ideas on how to improve documentation of hedge effectiveness in Excel spreadsheets
- Assess compliance of operational accounting with IFRS standards IFRS 2 and IFRS 9 as well as HGB accounting rules
- Summarize and present findings
- Ongoing studies of business administration, business mathematics or business informatics from a higher semester
- Basic knowledge of HGB and IFRS is an advantage
- Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Independent user skills in English and German (at least level B2)
