The internship assignment

You’ll be part of the Inbound Transports team for Gigafactory Berlin

We are responsible for logistics chain from pickup at the supplier locations up until delivery to the factory

You will join at an interesting time, witnessing the Start of production and initial ramp-up of production in Teslas newest plant

You will get insights into the day-to-day business in an interesting environment

You will serve as coordinator between suppliers, carriers, internal logistics, material planning and purchasing as stakeholders

You will also get the chance to prove yourself in your own project regarding the setup of logistical flows in systems and daily practice

• Gain an understanding of Tesla transport networks and supply chain setups
• Take up responsibility for own (sub-)project regarding set-up of Transport Management System for production ramp-up
• In depth knowledge of Transport Management System functionality, data, maintenance, and improvement of automization
• Improve analytical skills through analysis of data
• Developing solid understanding and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders in fast moving environment
• Understand and respond to disruptions in the transport network

• Preferably studying a relevant field like Supply Chain, Logistics or Manufacturing/Process Engineering
• Abilities to quickly become acquainted with complex new topics
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented
• A strong team player
• High competence in working with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. MS Excel)
• Fluency in English, other languages like German, Polish, Czech would a big plus
