Responsible for the development of turbocharger applications to fulfil customer technical specifications.
Main customer interface to provide technical support on new development projects from the technical offer until industrialization to start in serial production.
Main responsibilities:
- Matching & Design for base product customization
- Build a technical offer to match the customer requirements with turbocharger matching and design to comply with customer specific engine packaging constraints.
- Pilot the turbocharger design evolution with changes management throughout the project milestones until the launch of serial tools for serial production .
- Testing & Validation of customer application specific product
- Establish the risk assessment based upon the design and then define the design validation plan in alignment with product specifications.
- Pilot the product qualification test plan execution and the test results analysis to ensure that the functionality & the reliability targets are met before starting customer applications in production.
- Provide well-documented feedback on product issues to the Product Lines and Product Assurance in order to improve our products.
- Responsible for the application engineering release to ensure a safe new product launch onto the market.
- Customer interface & internal cross-functional coordination
- Main customer interface during the product development phase: Lead regular project meetings at the customer.
- Active participation in the internal project reviews with all the required functions to ensure the product design qualification readiness on time for industrialization to meet the customer project time-schedule milestones.
Main skills and qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering and/or Thermodynamics Master Degree
- Mechanical Design Engineering & Thermodynamics
- Internal Combustion Engines & Turbomachinery
- Strong ability to work in a cross-functional Team
- Outstanding communication skills - Customer facing experience
- Fluent German speaking
- A strong culture of the automotive industry environment
- Capability to manage conflicts & priorities in a smart manner
- Flexibility & agility to adapt fast to a new situation
- Pragmatic, problem solving oriented
