We are a small, dedicated group of scientists working to understand gamma delta T cell biology using cutting-edge single-cell technologies. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a PhD student as part of the collaborative research center (CRC1160) to investigate the role of gamma delta T cells in intestinal inflammation in mice and humans.

Project description
PhD position in Single-Cell Analysis of GAMMA DELTA T cell biology in INTESTINAL inflammation
The project involves substantial collaboration with other scientists of CRC 1160, who will perform experiments on DSS-induced colitis to investigate the immune landscape during inflammation in the intestine. The main aim of the project is to analyze single-cell multimodal datasets (including gene expression, chromatin accessibility, T-cell receptor sequencing, and cell-surface protein profiling) to understand the role of immune cells and their interactions with epithelial cells in intestinal homeostasis and inflammation, with a special focus on gamma delta T cells.
