Hertie School of Governance

The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. The school offers master’s programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research. We are looking for an

Associate Events and Administration (gn)

part-time (25-30h per week), to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work at the Centre for Digital Governance and the Centre for Fundamental Rights.

Your tasks:

Organise and execute all internal and external Centre events, including managing the event calendar and coordinating with relevant units at the Hertie School and service providers.
Communicate with collaborators and speakers.
Oversee the publication of event details on relevant platforms
Manage event invitations and registrations.
Provide administrative support for visiting researchers and fellows at the Centres.
Handle general administration at the Centres, including overseeing invoice processing and managing the internal contact database.
Maintain and update the Centres’ webpages.

Your profile:

University degree or equivalent qualification.
2-3 years of professional experience relevant to this position.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
Basic knowledge of website management tools (e.g.Typo3), event management tools (e.g. Zkipster), and graphic design software for promotional materials (e.g. Canva).
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Very good written and spoken English.
