The UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 Technical Inspector/Multi-General -Quality Control Lead, (FAA A&P/IA) is responsible for maintaining the Quality Control, Environmental and Safety Programs in support of assigned aircraft and support equipment. The QC Technical Inspector Lead will be the supervisor as well as the mentor for the subordinate Technical Inspectors in all Quality Control duties and responsibilities.

• Recommends, implements, and assists management to ensure a workplace safety is enforced; provides guidance to prevent injury and occupational illness.

• Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.

• Must be well versed in AR 95-1 (chapter 7), MECs, AMAMs, ASAMs, SOF, forms & records, AR 95-20 requirements and quality control procedures.

• Evaluates violations or problems discovered during inspections and advises management on solutions, improvements, or policy changes to ensure compliance.

• Must be able to determine root cause and any corrective actions to prevent a repeat occurrence.

• Must be familiar with responding to customer complaints using Root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

• Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.

• Must be familiar with FQA, FA and Q-Stop processes and presentation to the customer.

• Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components.

• Approve or reject work accomplished by field team members to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards and technical data.

• Perform analysis of defects and interprets quality control rejection and failure trends, and monitor safety, training, and certification requirements.

• Maintain Quality, Safety, Training and Certification Records.

• Coordinate with the Customer Quality Assurance Representative concerning quality matters, mandatory inspection points and final acceptance inspection of contract end items or services.

• Inspect forms and records related to aircraft maintenance; inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications.

• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent is required.

• Valid FAA A&P Certificate is required with Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is required.

• Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred and one year inspecting UH60, CH47 or AH64 aircraft is required.

• If no IA; Must have a minimum Five (5) years' experience as a technical inspector on a combination of UH-60, CH-47 or AH-64. (Multiple MDS experience is preferred).

• Supervisory experience and the ability to successfully mentor subordinate Technical Inspectors in all Quality Control duties and responsibilities is required.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a NAC-I Public Trust Security Clearance. US Citizenship is Required for the NAC-I and for facility credentials. Interim NACI approved to start.

• TESA approval: Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; must have over 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.

• Valid US Passport is required for travel to Germany.

• Travel: As required in support of task order.
