As a Development Engineer, you will play an important role in the investigation and optimization of our gypsum fiber board production process. Your knowledge will contribute to minimizing production waste, enhancing efficiency, and improving the overall quality of our products. Your mission consists of lab work (production and analysis of lab scale boards), data analysis, and material collection in the plant.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyzing existing reports and trial documentation to gain insights into our production processes,
• Receiving training in existing test procedures to become familiar with our testing methods,
• Collaborating with external mechanical engineering companies to organize the production of raw material samples derived from scrap gypsum fiber boards,
• Performing comprehensive lab analysis of samples, including chemical and optical testing, to gather valuable data,
• Coordinating and overseeing full-scale trials at our plant in Bodenwerder, ensuring the successful implementation of optimized processes,
• Conducting literature research and interpret the research results to the team and documenting the process in detail.

This is a 12-month mission, with the possibility of extension once.

• Master’s Degree in Material Science, Physics, Mechanical or Industrial Development Engineering or any related field,
• Ability to work independently under supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach,
• Interest in conducting literature research and sharing knowledge with the team,
• Hands-on mentality with strong communication skills,
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. German beginners are welcome!
