The Delivery Unit E³ 1.1 has the full End-to-End responsibility over the entire life cycle of the E³ architectures from requirements, to steering the development via release to field support. Our tasks include the definition of customer needs together with the VW Group brands, the commissioning of the Tech Centers with the development of products and functions, holistic monitoring of project progress, escalation and resolution of target conflicts. The Delivery Unit is the defined interface to the brands.
The Integration and Test Team is responsible for steering the integration of all CARIAD developed ECU’s and functions into one working compound. Therefore the team will define how to integrate and test, define when which function will be experienceable, closely monitor the product maturity incl. defect management and resolution and ensure from CARIAD-side to achieve the SOP of the VW Group brand cars.
- Definition of general strategy, processes and standards for Integration & Testing on sup-compound and compound level in direct connection to VW Group brand cars
- Responsibility for the Integration and the Integration Test strategy
- Responsibility for the Compound Release planning
- Consolidation and steering of requirements and needs for test resources
- Quality assurance, Verification & Validation, and release approval for every compound release (VR)
- Ensuring the in time, in quality and in budget achievement of all integration and test target dates
- Ensure a qualified defect, test and maturity reporting with the aim to create transparency about target deviations, conflict of targets or severe risks regarding integration and test.
- Ensuring of application of industry standards and regulations for software development and test processes
- Close alignment with the respective brand partners
- Be the technical representative for the product on compound level to the VW Group brands
- Leading your team and employees in terms of modern / servant leadership and develop them further
- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, control engineering, automotive engineering, or similar
- 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry (OEM or TIER1) with in-depth knowledge of ECU / software / customer functions development on compound / whole vehicle level
- In-depth experience of development processes ("classic" and "agile") like A-SPICE or FUSE, Strong problem-solving skills as well as communication skills in German and English
- High level of resilience and wish to shape processes and live a close collaboration with VW Group brands
- Agile mindset and inclusive / servant leadership approach
- Background in the field of “Whole Vehicle” / Integration, Verification & Validation at a brand is necessary
- High level of willingness to travel (e.g. be on site in Wolfsburg and Ingolstadt)
