The internship assignment
The Project Controls Intern is responsible to facilitate a smooth monthly invoicing process and will support the change order management process. The Project Controls Team is managing the construction and improvement of the Gigafactory. The Project Controls Intern will collaborate with various other disciplines in its day-to-day business e.g. procurement, design, construction management and QA/QC. Project Controls Intern will work in very dynamic, high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and challenging goals.
What You’ll Do
- Develop reports/dashboards to facilitate the invoicing process.
- Perform invoice verifications and issue payment recommendation letters to subcontractors.
- Assist in quantity measurements of construction works.
- Develop reports/dashboards to communicate cost performance and key project metrics to various teams and different levels of management.
- Coordinate a smooth monthly progress protocol and payment application process.
- Support the project controls team in the day-to-day business.
- Learn how to maintain day-to-day stakeholder relationships.
What You’ll Bring
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German skills are also beneficial.
- Affinity to numbers, preferably experience in cost management.
- Good knowledge in the use of common MS Office applications.
- Ability to analyse problems and find solutions in a structured manner.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented.
- Ability to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent manner.
