Location: Stuttgart, Germany
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach History on-site in Germany.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree in History or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning is essential.
Professional experience in History or a related area.
Prior experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is highly desirable.
Local applicants only. These positions are not eligible for UMGC sponsored logistical support. Applicants must possess and maintain their legal status in the country in which they apply to teach.

The Adjunct Faculty Role at UMGC
UMGC seeks scholar-practitioners: professionals actively engaged in their fields who wish to educate the next generation. As adjunct faculty, you will:
Actively engage students, fostering motivation and enthusiasm for learning.
Guide students in collaboration and apply learning through problem- and project-based activities.
Provide constructive feedback using rubrics for assessment and recognizing student achievements.
Demonstrate subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the academic program.
Offer feedback to the program chair on potential curricular improvements.

Hiring Range by Degree:
Non-PhD: Step 1 $903 - Step 16 $1,173 per credit hour
PhD: Step 1 $931 - Step 16 $1,215 per credit hour
