Overview:

Drake Star is seeking to add an Associate with 3-6 years of relevant experience to join the Investment Banking team in our Munich office. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day execution of M&A and corporate financing transactions, client relationship management, and the creation and review of marketing materials and financial models.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the execution of transactions, including M&A and Corporate Finance; manage key working streams of transactions in a flawless and efficient manner
• Coordinate project deliverables and due diligence processes with senior bankers
• Manage the development of financial models and valuation analysis
• Draft transaction documents and marketing presentations; investment memorandums, pitchbooks, sector reports etc.
• Assist in business development initiatives including but not limited to target identification, pitching for mandates, and attending conferences
• Client management and ownership of day-to-day deal work; build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisers
• Train, develop and mentor Analysts
• Extensive company and industry analyses (trends, M&A, buyer analysis etc.)
• Collaborate with global Drake Star offices to support the origination and execution of cross border transactions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 - 6 years of relevant corporate finance experience within a TMC team of an investment bank
• Track record of working and closing both sell-side and financing deals for clients valued in excess of $250mm
• Strong financial modelling and business planning skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work product
• Outstanding analytical, organizational skills and proven self-starter
• Ability to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflicts
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deep passion for the broader technology sector
