Overview:
Drake Star is seeking to add an Associate with 3-6 years of relevant experience to join the Investment Banking team in our Munich office. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day execution of M&A and corporate financing transactions, client relationship management, and the creation and review of marketing materials and financial models.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the execution of transactions, including M&A and Corporate Finance; manage key working streams of transactions in a flawless and efficient manner
- Coordinate project deliverables and due diligence processes with senior bankers
- Manage the development of financial models and valuation analysis
- Draft transaction documents and marketing presentations; investment memorandums, pitchbooks, sector reports etc.
- Assist in business development initiatives including but not limited to target identification, pitching for mandates, and attending conferences
- Client management and ownership of day-to-day deal work; build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisers
- Train, develop and mentor Analysts
- Extensive company and industry analyses (trends, M&A, buyer analysis etc.)
- Collaborate with global Drake Star offices to support the origination and execution of cross border transactions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 - 6 years of relevant corporate finance experience within a TMC team of an investment bank
- Track record of working and closing both sell-side and financing deals for clients valued in excess of $250mm
- Strong financial modelling and business planning skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work product
- Outstanding analytical, organizational skills and proven self-starter
- Ability to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflicts
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep passion for the broader technology sector
